TOUR INFORMATION

Early in the morning you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and taken for a 35 minute drive to the town of Gamboa, where the Chagres River converges with the Panama Canal. You will then board a “Panama Explorers” boat and depart on a expedition across Gatún Lake in the Panama Canal passing by the all kind of vessels that transit the waters and that contrast the natural environment. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to spot crocodiles, turtles, keel-billed toucans, snail kite, three-toed sloths resting on tree branches, ospreys hunting for peacock bass and green iguanas among other species.

Your Panama Explorers boat will get you close to rainforest-covered islands in Gatun Lake to search for Spider Monkey, Mantled Howler Monkey, Geoffrey’s Tamarin and White-faced Capuchin. As part of the tour you will enjoy a picnic lunch on a small island overlooking the Panama Canal and its amazing scenery.
